  Most tarps sold in hardware stores are a 3 to 5 mil thickness with little or no UV ray protection.  Our Heavy Duty poly tarps are 12 mil with the maximum UV protection available. They are Green on the upper side and white underneath. The white helps reflect light if you are using it for camping or a portable shelter cover. All corners are reinforce for extra strength. These tarps have proven very popular because they last so much longer than the blue and orange tarps.
